Bay Seniors sells donated jewellery as a fundraiser to benefit the St. Margaret’s Bay Food Bank. Jewellery is donated by community members and sold periodically on Facebook and in person at selected community events. All sales are promoted through our newsletter and on our Facebook page.
Since December 2020, the program has raised more than $15,000 for the food bank.
Donations of vintage fashion jewellery (pre 1975), pieces by noted artisans, and sterling and gold jewellery may be dropped off at the SMB Community Enterprise Centre at 5229 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Unit 1, Upper Tantallon, which serves as the drop-off and pick-up location.
Donated jewellery should be in very good to mint condition. We regret that the program is unable to accept donations of watches or fashion jewellery from the 1980s and later at this time. For more information, email jewellery@bayseniors.ca.
