The Grocery Shopping Program is for Bay Seniors members who live in the BayRides catchment area, don’t have their own transportation, and would benefit from physical or other assistance while grocery shopping. Round-trip transportation between shoppers’ homes and the grocery store is through BayRides, and shopping volunteers meet shoppers at the store.
The Grocery Shopping Program is offered on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, alternating between the Atlantic Superstore and Sobeys Tantallon. Once a month, after shopping, the group enjoys a social time at Tim Hortons in Tantallon.
There is a $5 fee per grocery trip for participating members.
